ShellCmd maximum length

Question

I'm using Vfx Forth on Raspberry Pi (Linux).

It seems that there's a limit of 299 characters that can be passed to shellCmd. Am I right? if yes, is there a way I can increase that limit?

The command executes ok as a command line in Linux.

In the source tree shell.fth the limit appears to be 1023 bytes.
